My Journey

My journey toward creating the Masculine Archetypes cards began during a personal crisis. Despite achieving success in my professional and academic life, I found myself in the midst of a midlife crisis, feeling a void I couldn’t ignore. I had accomplished much, but something was missing. This feeling led me to explore new avenues of personal growth, focusing on masculinity beyond the traditional “hero” archetype.

During this period of introspection, I realized that the traditional hero model, centered on competition and control, no longer resonated with me. I started to question deep aspects of my life: How could I grow as a man in my personal relationships? How could I create deeper connections with my family, friends, and community? I needed to find a more authentic and profound masculinity.

In search of answers, I immersed myself in reading and reflection. A book that had a deep impact on me was "Beyond the Hero" by Allan Chinen, where I discovered the idea of "deep masculinity." This concept revealed to me that what we truly are is often buried under conventional roles and cultural expectations. Competition among men and emotional suppression had become norms I no longer wanted to follow.

At the same time, I began exploring Biodanza, a personal development system that uses music, movement, and group interaction to facilitate connection with oneself and others. Through Biodanza, I began reconnecting with a more sensitive part of myself. However, I still felt the need to go further, to explore and challenge the image of the "conqueror" that had been so ingrained in me.

Over time, and while living in Israel, I formed a men's group where we shared our experiences and learnings through masculine archetypes. The brotherhood that formed in this group was genuine and deep. We all shared a common desire: to grow and evolve as human beings. This success inspired me to continue working with archetypes, not only in Biodanza but also through conversation and dance circles.

One day, inspired by a dream and recognizing that information on archetypes wasn’t always easily available, I decided to create a deck of cards that reflected these concepts. I dedicated myself passionately to designing and shaping each card, ensuring that each one captured the essence of a specific archetype, with illustrations and words that unveil their deeper meanings.

Throughout the creation process, I reflected on my own life and the experiences that had led me through different archetypes at various times. This reflection further fueled my mission to share this knowledge with other men and women. Thus, "Masculine Archetypes: A Guide for Personal Growth" was born—a set of cards that not only speaks to masculine energy but also offers women the opportunity to explore and understand these archetypes more deeply.

I firmly believe that we are all the protagonists of our own stories and that each of us faces internal challenges on the path to personal fulfillment. My hope is that the Masculine Archetypes cards serve as a source of inspiration and guidance, helping men and women of all ages to reflect and discover their true potential.

Thank you for being part of this journey toward self-knowledge and personal growth.
